Sept 28 - Oct 2, 2022

A dedicated group of folks from Western Washington along with one Texan (many of whom had never met) came together for a common purpose: to provide safe and comfortable housing for a family. The head of household was a single mom and a local school teacher. The entire family including her father, her children, and her sister were actively involved in the construction event. The build was a joyful celebration…a time of joy and laughter. The team was blessed to be able to work together and the family and came away with a feeling of deep satisfaction.

Marysville Foursquare Church July 2022

A wonderful group of volunteers from the Marysville Foursquare Church, many of whom had never been on a missions trip, enjoyed a beautiful weekend building a home for a local Tecate family. The family for whom the home was built was very active in the project and was delighted with the outcome. Two of the family members were young boys who enjoyed kicking a soccer ball around with some of the team members. The house build was completed early Saturday morning, after which the team fanned out into the community inviting neighbors to come and celebrate the miracle of a new home. Pastor Carlos and his team barbequed hamburgers and served mac and cheese to the gathering, and a ministry outreach was completed.

February and April 2022 teams

A motivated team made up of folks from three churches in Ellensburg, Washington built a home on the site of a burned-out house in Tecate in mid-February. The fire that consumed this house also damaged the neighboring house. The April team (made up of several members of the February team) returned to rebuild the house next door.
